Farm Box CSA

Plumcot Farm is an certified organic farm and home of The Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education in Malibu. With hearts and baskets full of nourished bounty, we joyfully offer an opportunity for you to enjoy fresh picked, locally grown, seasonal, certified organic Malibu produce, fruit and herbs from our farm, available for pick up at the dates listed below.

We are in a reciprocal relationship of devotion with the sacred land where your food is grown — receiving deep nourishment from the mountains that hold us, flowers the sing to us and gardens that feed us, and tending to the soil and spirits of the Earth through ceremony and regenerative agriculture practices. At Plumcot, we grow avocados, a variety of stone fruit and tropical fruit, greens, heirloom vegetables as well as hundreds of culinary and medicinal herbs! The land is home to native plants, pollinator gardens, bees, birds and wildlife, as well as The Gaia School herbalists who make medicine from the land, circle for class, prayer, education, and community gatherings. Our intention is to create a thriving community of land, people and wildlife, as we continue to grow and explore what is possible when humans and land work together to nourish each other.

Farm boxes are limited. We recommend you reserve a monthly pick up option to ensure you have seasonal, local, organic produce during our entire school year! You may also sign up for 2 boxes a month — what would happen to your health and connection to the land if you and your family mostly local, freshly picked, seasonal produce all year long?

You may select Year Long Seasonal Foodie, with 2 boxes a month. This option is ideal for a family and for folks who want to eat the highest quality, local, seasonal produce from a local farm! The Year Long Farm Box is a great option to weave seasonal, organic produce into your diet all year long. Some Monthly farm boxes will be available as well. Upon signing up for a farm box, you will be invited to pick up your freshly harvested share from the farm, coordinating your pick up time with Monica.

What is a CSA?

CSA — short for “Community Supported Agriculture” is a community based model of farming that connects people directly to their local farmer and the land where their food is grown. Members of the program purchase shares of the season’s produce ahead of time and then receive boxes at regular intervals (in our case, one or twice a month).  Selection and quantity varies with the season along with the farms natural cycles, which is an exciting part about connecting deeper with the land, eating seasonally and discovering new fruits, vegetables and herbs in a community of other seasonally eating and "chefing" friends!

Our CSA is unique

Nestled amongst the rolling hills of central Malibu, our 7-acre certified organic farm currently grows a wide range of annual/seasonal vegetables and fruits along with a host of culinary and medicinal herbs.  Each box will include a variety of fruit, vegetables, herbs and specialty items will be available in our farm stand as well.  We invite our CSA members to join Marysia Miernowska and The Gaia School of Healing on “Farm & Medicine Making days”, where you will have a chance to get hands on experience cultivating medicinal plants and making medicine. Learn more about the Farm days and sign up here and sign up for our newsletter to receive invitations to special events, many of which are kid friendly.
